Lumpkin County School System is passionate about the children of our community and committed to the highest standards, providing every child with the opportunity to succeed. We are stong in our beliefs that we can teach all students and in our beliefs that student learning and achievement are shared processes involving schools, homes, and community. LCSS, therefore, endeavors to work in accordance with parents and the community to give our children an education of the highest quality, encouraging life-long learning.
We are proud of both our children and our teachers for the merit they exhibit daily as they work together to achieve academic and personal excellence. To meet these goals, we have implemented a Leadership Academy and a 21st Century Community Learning Center after school program at our middle school, and we are working to ensure that our classrooms are focused on teaching and mastering academic standards. Students at all levels, k-12, excel academically, and their achievement is demonstrated in their test scores as our students surpass state averages in many areas.
We, however, do not view these successes as a place to rest. We will continue to seek academic excellence for our students. We will continue to work to ensure that our students have the qualities to be productive and confident citizens. We will continue to strive to be the greatest school system in the state of Georgia.
